Did you know that VHS tapes have a life expectancy of 15-20 years? Time is running out to get those old tapes digitised. Your precious home movies such as weddings, birthday parties, family holidays, and other special occasions are over time degrading.

As you can imagine, the loss of such special footage is particularly concerning when it comes to significant family moments in history. We are committed to ensuring you receive the highest quality finished transfers.

8mm, Hi8 and Digital 8

Both 8mm and Hi8 tapes are magnetic, which means the quality of the recordings degrades over time. Environmental factors like heat, humidity, and storage conditions play a significant role in how long the tapes last

DVCAM and MINI DV TAPE

Yes, we can also transfer your professional DV or DVCAM. This also includes small cassettes, also known as S-size or MiniDV.

Digital Betacam and Beta Max

(commonly referred to as DigiBeta, D-Beta, DBC or simply Digi) was launched in 1993. It supersedes both Betacam and Betacam SP. We can digitise both.

If you or your organization possess video footage that is currently trapped on outdated Betacam cassettes, this is the perfect opportunity to entrust us with the task of digitising them for you. We transfer Betacam and Digi Beta tapes to digital.

For more than two decades, the floppy disk was the primary external writable storage device used. A floppy disk, also known as a floppy, diskette, or simply disk, is a type of disk storage composed of a disk of thin and flexible magnetic storage medium, sealed in a rectangular plastic enclosure lined with fabric that removes dust particles.

AUDIO CASSETTE TAPE

Cassette tapes have been around since 1963. They peaked in the late 1980s and were quickly overtaken by the sale of CDs during the early 1990s.

As of 2009 cassettes were used for a variety of purposes, such as journalism, history, meeting and interview transcripts, audiobooks, radio adverts and so on.

CD or DVD

Have you got any CD's or DVD's lying around containing old files, music, photos and videos? With the advancement of new technology, including the removal of CD and DVD drives from new laptops and computers. We can digitise these for you into any format.

We can convert your 8mm or super 8 film reels to USB as a .MP4 High-Resolution file format.

All content is backed up on our server for 30 days. Your film/s will be looked after and carefully handled. We also clean the gate after each transfer to ensure the best results.

PHOTO NEGATIVES and SLIDES

It's not very positive when you still have these in your cupboard. Let's help you turn a negative, into a positive. Photo negative scanning includes dust and scratch correction.

DVD REWIND SERVICE

Back due to popular demand, our DVD rewinding service.

After many emails and outcries from the media, we have realised that you; the people of New Zealand are sick of rewinding DVD's and CD's. Our state-of-the-art DVD rewinder has never failed to deliver.

Our service is free with any other Tribute Media service you require.

BROKEN TAPES

Sometimes tapes break. Especially if they have started to get mouldy and weak. We can fix most broken tapes. However occasionally there are tape beyond our repair. It doesn't happen often, but we will advise if there are any breaks during the digital transfer.

$15 for each snapped tape.

Your videos are transferred to a new USB 3.2 super speed

We can supply brand-new USB drives for you.

32Gb stick for $20.
64Gb for $25

If you would prefer a DVD, no problem, simply add $10 per DVD.

If your job is urgent and requires a 48-hour turnaround, simply add $50 to jump the cue.

Step one: Make contact with how many tapes/discs you have and if there is any specific time frame you require them by.
Step two: Drop off or courier your content to either our studio in Red Beach or Albany
Step three: Collect from 2 locations or we can courier your tapes back to you.

We charge between $15 -$20 for return couriers.
